I've had bad luck buying cordless phones, and I'm hoping somebody can suggest a phone before I waste another 100sfr.
Ideally, I'd like two handsets, a decent battery, and display that shows who is calling and the ability to designate ring tones to certain callers, or be put on silent due to nap time.
I feel a bit silly asking for advice on this, but I don't want to keep buying new phones every two years either.

Is there a specific reason for your bad luck? Low battery life? Just plain ugly? Specific reason why it must be bought online?

I am very happy with it (has even the possibility for a different picture for each caller, so I know when Monster-in-law is calling from the distance even when on mute). Can't you just visit a interdiscount/fust/whatever? I find it nice to see the object in real life before buying anything online...

Battery life seems to be a huge issue, followed by the display giving out, followed by numbers starting to wear off after a year. I'm just a crappy phone chooser. The current one has all of the above problems plus no longer shows that we have a message.
I'm trying to buy online because I'm heavily pregnant and on restricted activity. Your phone looks really good. If I can't one online, maybe I can convince my husband to collect this one. Love the picture display, and can certainly well imagine its usefulness.

The one I bought fell inside cake dough about an year ago, so had to have a bath, but it's still in perfect condition. It was a bit pricey, but in general it's quite ok The only problem is the keys being a little bit small for sausage fingers (as my mom likes to say) and the menu structure is a bit complicated when you are in a hurry. But you should send your hubby on phone hunting
