No wonder we heard nothing of/about the iphone5 in the "underworld" it does not exist.. but the 4S seams impressive never the less

Siri looks impressive but I can imagine not being bothered to faff around with it.

No doubt that the civilized nations (read Operation Enduring Freedom allies) will get theirs first and we'll be right up there with Swaziland and Southern Eritrea sometime next spring. | | | | | Maybe you should settle for "a5".
Require less space ;-)

My iPhone 3GS has deteriorated rapidly in the last 4 days... if I were cynical i would say its a feature of the last iOS upgrade that has programmed to deliberately coincide with this announcement and makes me salivate at the thought that I could have a new iPhone that has a battery life - just like mine had last week!

Anyone else getting blocked from the Apple site ?
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.apple.com/" on this server.

EDIT: It is random and intermittent. http://www.apple.com/icloud/what-is.html now gives the same error.
I guess the Web servers are under huge pressure.

The only impressive thing Apple launched tonight is the new iPod Nano. Very competitively priced, can be used as a wrist watch and has Nike+ integrated.
the iPhone 4s - not so much. The small screen bothers me a lot. The camera might be nice, but I doubt it's better than those on the Sony Android handsets. Apart from that, they're "fixing" a non-existing problem - the iPhone 4 already has a great camera that allows for good looking pictures of up to A4 size.
Siri is cute but Google has had perfect voice controls forever now and nobody ever bothered using it, although it was implemented seamlessly.
The A5 processor is nice, too, but again - the iPhone 4 never had a speed problem.
I doubt a lot of people will upgrade from their existing iPhone 4 - mainly since the differences between the iPhone 4 and the 4S are even smaller than those between the 3G and the 3GS.
The weak offering tonight won't help Apple's falling behind Android in terms of market share for their mobile OS.

Peter | | | | | It looks like the iPad is now the marketing flagship to promote new/improved technology , and not the iPhone. Expect big news in the iPad 3 announcement methinks.
Such a huge let down tonight.

A big let down. I could only "watch" the keynote through engadget updates, but after 45 minutes of repeating everything they said at their last presentation at WWDC, I feared the worst.
Its an iphone 4 with an unneccessarily better camera and voice recognition (which the iphone 4 could probably handle as well but which they wont offer because otherwise there is really almost nothing to differentiate between the 4 and 4S).
137 minutes to launch a basically unchanged iphone and a basically unchanged ipod nano.... well, the new nano does have a mickey mouse clock face so perhaps I am being unfair .
