I recently got my internet, telephone and TV service set-up. No Cablecom in my area but my building has fibre optic service through MyGate/Litecom. Everything goes through the supplied
Fritz!Box 7270 and, whilst I can set up the basic internet and TV side of things, I don't know much about telephones. I'm gradually getting through the 192 page manual but in the meantime can anyone explain in simple terms what these features are, and if I will find them useful?
- DECT base station for connecting up to six cordless telephones
- Enlarges as a DECT repeater the range of cordless phones (hardware version 3 and above)
- Telephone system for Internet and fixed-line telephony (ISDN or analog)
- Up to 5 integrated answering machines and fax function, both with e-mail forwarding
Do I just get a regular cordless phone and plug it in? Can I make calls from my mobile via the Fritz!Box? Any benefits to ISDN telephones?
Thanks.
