Cablecom Combi Packs

Has anyone signed up for the Cablecom combi packs? How long do the prices last? The ad reads "Pay 79- instead of 110-" Of course, everyone would love to pay 79 instead of 110, but I am imagining that there is some kind of hitch that is not clear from the ad.

Re: Cablecom Combi Packs

From what I can tell, the 79- price remains. It isn't a special as in time limit low price, rather a special in that you pay for a couple of the products and get the third free, etc.

Sunrise does the same with their free Internet deals (with mobile etc).

If you are in a rented apartment and therefore don't have to sign up for a nasty 10 year cable line contract (only if you are in your own house) then this is probably a pretty good deal.

Personally, I got rid of Cablecom when we bought our house and am very happy to be with Sunrise for phone stuff and satellite for TV.

Re: Cablecom Combi Packs

I have had Cablecoms 99 chf combi pack for 6 months now. Never had a problem and the price is always 99 chf, it is not introductory. I got Cable, Global Phone and Internet. Great deal. I live in small village, so my broadband speed is usually above 80 MBS. Super fast.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will check out Sunrise as I do not think my landlord wants to sign up for a 10 year committment. I certainly wouldn't. We might have town Wi-Fi in the next 10 years.

Re: Cablecom Combi Packs

yes, second what jerallie says.
I live in a non-swisscom village and I got the cablecom 99 CHF package about 4 months ago and I am happy.
Still have the gripe that French Switzerland (Romandie) gets less UK TV than the rest of Switzerland but that is another story.

regards

John

A nice little 60cm satellite dish (even better 80cm) pointed at Astra2d will bring your English channel line-up to British standards.
ITV1-4 with the +1s
BBC1-4, HD, CBBC, CBeebies
Channel4, E4, More4, Five... the +1's

For about 200 chf with a simple receiver and you have your own system that you don't have to rent on a monthly basis with a contract for a year at a time.

Re: Cablecom Combi Packs

If their hardware was good I would not have decided to change to Swisscom.

We never signed any such thing. But I guess that's just because our cable doesn't belong to cablecom

Re: Cablecom Combi Packs

I have subscribed for Basic Combi Duo. It comes for 55 CHF per month. Its original price was 80CHF.
There was another pack for 55 CHF only which included the Digital TV as well.

Re: Cablecom Combi Packs

We have the Power Combi at 99 chf per month. (On their website it says "instead of 150"; they must think we are stupid). Never had any problem. It includes unlimited calls to fixed lines in 34 country, including Canada and USA, which reminds me I should call my mom tonight.

Do you know if satellite dish/receiver would work in smaller cities? (schaffhausen, to be more specific)? By the way what is Astra2d? There is only available SASAC and not lot English-speaking channels apart of news :-/

Re: Cablecom Combi Packs

Hi,

Nothing is specified regarding the duration of the offer... so I think its valid for the coming years... otherwise they state the discount is for the 1st year or so !
