Any cablecom user EF members from Fribourg? Would love to hear their opinion on service, esp after sales.

Hey, a bit of a late reply, but maybe it helps you. I have Cablecom, i am not directly in Fribourg (i am in Givisiez) and there are some things to consider about Cablecom. For example, i am the only one in the building having Cablecom so the speed is pretty good (20Mb/s wireless, 25 wire), but from friends of mine from Fribourg in the Perolles area I have heard that because they are more in the building that have Cablecom, the speed sucks, big time. Also I had an issue with the speed and the fact that the internet did not work for a month because some Cablecom cable guy put a filter on my line and forgot to remove it It took me about 20 calls and 3 technicians later to solve it , but it got solved. So, if you want something cheaper, but that might give you headaches go for it. If you need more help, let me know! Bye

We have Cablecom digital TV and are about to change from Sunrise to Cablecom Internet.

They used to be rubbish, but now Cablecom UPC seem to be OK.

I will not be saving much, especially after adding the 25 for the box rental, as compared to my present Swisscom ISDN. The rampup on speed was the main attraction really, if it genuinely exists.

A monthlong downtime - for whatever reason - is too scary.

Had cablecom(now UPC) in two different buildings since late 2009. Took a long time to get connected (they had to organise an electrician to do some re-wiring which they paid for). Always had great speeds, even now living in a large (modern) apartment complex on Perolles. Speeds are always great though some drop outs from time to time...think that's my wireless router though so can't blame UPC for that.

Digital TV wise when I had it it was quite good, never any complaints. They get the thumbs up from me.
