It actually ISN'T my cup of tea at all: it should be, because of all its component parts and I'm very much a fantasy geek, but... nope. I don't like it. I personally think it has rather a nasty, misogynistic streak to it. The men only think with their swords (both kinds) and the women are mainly naked and abused.
For those of you who love GOT, I make no apologies, but obviously this is only my lone wilderness-voiced opinion! The dragons are cool, obviously... My main problem is I hated the damn books. Martin writes like a teenage boy who isn't/will never get any and who is constantly bullied by the bigger boys. | Quote: | | | | | | | | | |
Does it get better? I dropped out after two episodes, despite the fact that the cast is simply brilliant. | Quote: | | | | | I have been watching

Outlander... meh. Again, hated the damn book and am not into Highland anything (ironic as I married a Scot...!) but LOVE White Collar. It's undemanding, smooth, twisty-turny crime hi-jinks and the two main leads are very easy on the eye. Eye candy binge watching!

I also meant to write (again) the 3 dragons are Juncker, Schulz and Tusk.. as you might have noticed one of her dragons is more powerful and scarier than the other two.
Now, who could Cameron be?
Thankfully, Farage is gone, met a terrible end -- he better not rise again and show up in S7. |

For those of you who want to see Mr Robot and can get Sky then you'll be swamped by it this week. Not only do Syfy have it (which they've been plugging like mad), but also Universal Channel will be running it as well - before Syfy too. Both channels are owned by NBCUniversal, but really folks I think they could have done a little better in the scheduling department. But then again, no one seems to care much about TV schedules at al these days.
Thursday 21st July:
Universal - Ep 1 9pm, Ep 2 10.05, repeated 2am and 3 am
Syfy - Ep 1 11pm, Ep 2 12.20am
Friday, 22nd July:
Syfy - Ep 1 9pm, Ep 2 10.20
And of course they both have +1 channels. So if you miss it it's your own fault. |

Ash vs Evil Dead is proving to be a riot. It's a Starz show, so take the gore from Spartacus, throw in some zombies with a splash of dark humour and leave to simmer.

Braindead
Not for republican snowflakes .. ants from outer space enter a persons ear and half their brians drop out of their ear and they become republicans, not a promising plotline but its gripping and funny and the characters are likeable, even the republicans
Rush Hour
He's no Chris Rock but you get used to him, its a bit like Psyche but with Jackie Chan.

The plot frequently requires Eva Green to take her clothes off. And rest is pretty gory and shocking. So, well worth watching .

Great new show on Netflix or if you are a cunning torrent user anywhere online: Stranger Things
To satisfy those fans of the Goonies meets the X Files in a Spielbergesque SciFi/horror way.

Is anyone watching Bojack Horseman?
Quite a few people have recommended it to me very highly ---I'm a couple episodes in and I'm not 'blown away' yet.
Does it get better---or is it very character driven, and I just have to get to know the people?
