Sherlock is utter twaddle - and the writer should be shot.

(He failed to combine "I need to explain the lead character's past" with "comprehendible" plot)
Unfortunately.. it became like a piece of panto' in the end. Didn't bother watching much of the final episode. It's got Moffat's idiotic paws all over it.. the other writers who rein him in must've been off sick.

Doctor Who + Moffat = Dog's Dinner

Season 1 of Travelers is on Netflix. Have just had to stop myself from watching "just one more". Intriguing twist on a basic time travel premise. Interesting characters, great collection of unknowns plus Will from Will and Grace.

Gee, is time travel going to be the next "big" thing in viewing? Timeless is also a time travel series which started a little while ago. Usual premise of trying to stop the bad guy (Goran Visnjic from "ER"), but does have the twist that the actions taken in the past do change things in the future. I haven't been watching it, but the OH has.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeless_(TV_series)

Still, I guess it makes a change from all the Marvel superhero/mutant stuff we're being bombarded with at the moment.

Timeless isn't great, and somehow manages to be eerily similar to the Jodi Taylor St Mary's series, but a poor imitation of it.

Travellers is an interesting take on it, on the consciousness of the travellers moves, inhabiting bodies at the recorded time of death and taking over the New host.

I for one like the marvel mutant stuff... but then I like me a good Comic con too!

The OA is really great. A must watch.

Travellers was pretty good, we binge watched it. Looking foward to S2.

I'm watching 12 Monkeys on Netflix. Not sure how I feel, it might be a little boring.

Shooter (Netflix) is kinda fun.

Love Designated Survivor! Kiefer

Rectify is slow, but good.

Lucifer is pretty funny, as is The Good Place. Kristen Bell is adorable.

This is Us is just great. Maybe too feely for some people.

Life in Pieces is pretty hilarious.

Looking forward to the next season of Outlander.

Is anyone else losing interest in the Walking Dead? Speaking of which, Fear the Walking Dead is pretty good, but does get a little slow the second season.

I started watch 3% on Netflix. It's pretty interesting.

Couldn't agree more. Outstanding! Both OA and Stranger things are exceptional and have a similar mysterious/supernatural feel to them.
Wonderful stuff.. was disappointed when the series ended - want more

It's okay, sort of, but at the moment we're being deluged: Supergirl, Flash, Arrow, Legion just about to start, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and I think the OH said they were going to spin off another character from one of the above shows soon too.

Ah... we don't have Sky etc so the only one if those I've seen is Arrow. I like SHIELD this and Legends of Tomorrow looks intriguing. Supergirl things are generally dire if you ask me.

Daredevil is excellent as is Jessica Jones. Not watched Luke Cage yet.

Oh yes, I forgot the Agents of Shield as well as it's not currently showing. So that makes 6 superhero/mutant based series.

Re: good TV series recomendations..... ?

Having said Agents of Shield isn't on, I see from my TV geek website that it starts again on E4 on the 29th. So I'll have the following:

Shield - 29th Jan
Supergirl - 30th Jan
Flash - 31st Jan
Arrow - 1st Feb
Legends - 2nd Feb

and Legion starting the following week on the 9th Feb. Gee, just what I wanted.

The OH mentioned Netflix is spinning off another 3 Marvel characters in the near future too.

Luke Cage is very good - slow burner that brings together life on the street, the neighborhood, the gangsters. It's well done.. but more to do fixing right from wrong rather than showing off the super powers.

The soundtrack is awesome.

Hey, Medea... radical notion but... you know...you don't have to actually watch this stuff if you don't want to, right?

Re: good TV series recomendations..... ?

Wrong, if I want to watch telly in the evenings I have to put up with what the OH wants to watch - we only have the one TV/subscription. I have telly in the daytime as I'm home, he gets it evenings and weekends when he's home. And no, our internet isn't good enough for downloads, not that there's much I'd want to download in the first place.

Which explains why I'm still posting on EF at 10.30pm most evenings.

Oh dear. The good stuff is usually in in the evening... Lose the remote? Use the new netflix download function to save programs for the evening? Renegotiate the deal... ?

Re: good TV series recomendations..... ?

Sky not negotiable and viewing hours with OH aren't either since I do occasionally intrude on them if there's something I REALLY want to watch.

Have to say there's very little I bother to watch anyway - at the moment "Pure Genius" and "NCIS" is it. And "Pure Genius" I have to watch recorded because it clashes with "Timeless" and the OH prefers to watch that so records "Pure Genius" after - which is too late for me to stay up and watch with the +1 to UK viewing times so he records it for me. Would be watching the final series of "Bones", but they've moved it's day and time so again too late.

It's a bit weird and dark but worth a watch.
