Love.

The funny part is that I relate much more to the male character than to the female one....I had a really good laugh.

Hooten and the Lady. Sounds like a Barbara Cartland novel but is an adventure romp in the vein of King Solomon's Mines. Funny, silly, scenes of mild peril . It's park-your-brain-TV with gorgeous locations.

Is it me, or was the OA finale really disappointing? I binged it, and missed Doc Martin. Mistake.

Re: good TV series recomendations..... ?

Legion. It's in the same "universe" as X men and it's compulsive, slightly trippy viewing. It's by the guy that did the Fargo reboot and has a feel of The Prisoner and Twin Peaks about it somehow. Dan Stevens is both unsettling and compelling. I've just watched the first half and now need to come up for air.

Episode 7 now. Cor blimey it's good. Rather David Lynchish in places but is totally worth sticking with.

Re: good TV series recomendations..... ?

Not happening quite yet, but something to look forward to...

For all "American Horror Story" fans out there: producer Ryan Murphy revealed that Season 7 will be related to Freak Show (Season 4) but will be set in modern day, and will revolve around the 2016 U.S. Presidential Elections.

Premiere date has not been released yet, but it's usually in September-October.

Yummy!

I've been watching something more peaceful lately - Samurai gourmet. A sweet Japanese comedy and not only...I like.

This looks delicious! I see it's on Netflix - will check it out since I am husband-less during the week for the next few weeks

It's a perfect series for that. Must not watch when you're hungry though.

Archer is back! A quirky, animated adult graphic novel, in case you haven't got hooked yet. First episode of the new series has a 30s gangster theme, but since it is Archer's dream, that could change.

Hoorah! I've managed to avoid all 7 episodes of the "3 new idiots in unreasonably priced cars" - otherwise known as latest series of Top Gear.

Re: good TV series recomendations..... ?

Bosch 3rd series is here, on Amazon.

I like it.. got an american oldie worldie feel, a 70s Hill Street Blues kick, but yet it's nothing like HSB.

I like Bosch - the character and the actor. He is very smooth in an unintentional way and very watchable.

Re: good TV series recomendations..... ?

David McCallum is leaving NCIS at the end of this season, health reasons. Sad to see him go, but Brian Dietzen will take up the quirky "Ducky" mantle quite well methinks.

McCallum is 84 or 85, remarkable. I tried to get into the first few episodes of s14, but could not. It seems a few more were shown on the geneva channel, so I'll give it a try.

I binge watched the first 10 or so and then have to wait for each Wednesday to bring a new episode. I really like it. Sort of a fantasy US government. When Bush ll was president, i found myself watching west wing and the movie "dave" as relief.

I just wish Swiss Netflix sucked a bit less.

Re: good TV series recomendations..... ?

NCIS is one of the few TV series I must see. The team all have their different personalities and remarkably every time they add a new character they seem to fit right in. Given that they've had 3 new additions this series I can't really see them opting to replace Ducky, just promote Jimmy instead. Makes sense story-wise too as Jimmy's been there for some years and is now a fully fledged doctor so can step into the position of Forenic Medical Examiner.

Ducky's 83 btw.
