Just binge-watched the Keepers, and it's really great! Now starting to watch Mindhunters, and it's mind blowing
I also came across Alias Grace trailer, and am really looking forward to another adaptation of one of Atwood's novels.

Very atmospheric for that Starsky & Hutch era, as well as the fascinating in-depth topic of how FBI serial killer profiling began.
The Keepers is now also on my list.
Margaret Atwood is one of my all time favourite authors, and loved the Handmaids Tale. But have seen a few episodes of the brilliant Alias Grace, but have been disappointed so far :-(

The Keepers has be one of the best documentaries ever. Brilliant on so many levels.. such a dark subject handled so smoothly, very easy to get hooked and, suprisingly, not heavy going at all. I really admire how the narrative was cleverly worked from episode to episode. I too binge watch it, couldn't stop.. was left feeling in awe of those women.
I hope they do a follow up at some point.

I like the fact that it is a show that is completely correct, not exaggerated or vulgar, with complicated story lines and a complex plot. Nothing feels exaggerated, it is all pretty real and as whacky as a real life gets.

I loved it, am about to start Season 2.
No superheros, robots, bloodsuckers.... just a story about a family.

Hi,
yes watching Star Trek iscovery on CBS All Access. I am liking the darker nature and getting to know the different characters.
It is building well.
Have fun

There were so many moments that make you stop dead in your tracks and rethink the last 30mins.

I don't relate to anyone in it personally, but I must have known a dozen Kevins, and I've seen the Randall and William relationship played out quite a few times at very close quarters. Also, my nephew is one of 4, but the only one who's adopted, and I saw a lot of the subtleties of that kind of relationship / family dynamic very well played out in this.

If you are a big fan of The Exorcist 1973, like I am - have watched that movie so many times - check out The Exorcist series on Fox. Amazon UK Prime have it too.
I have begun to binge watch series 1 into the wee small hours.. scaring the life out of myself and it's brilliant. Some great references/ visual nods to the original movie.
What a treat. Nearly ready for series 2 |
