Surprised that a search did not show up "Black Mirror". I've recently been hooked to the 3 seasons of this series on Netflix. Each episode is independent from the others, most share the spooky result of unintended consequences from new technologies. Highly recommend.

Didn't do your search properly then because I found it mentioned 10 times - not counting yours. |

Thanks Medea, I know how to properly search now
It seems that not many people have seen Black Mirror though (or liked it).

Well, not many people watch Channel 4 which is where it originated back in 2011. Their viewing figures seem to be slipping as they do more and more crap programming. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channe...hed_programmes
If it was late night too it would have been further under everyone's radar.
They may not have done that much advertising either possibly. Although it seems to have been nominated for a lot of awards and won several I'd never heard of it until I read the name in this thread.

I was watching it one episode a week previously, which is really not the way to enjoy a wonderful Margaret Atwood novel! Now that it's just come out on Netflix though, indulged in a bit of binge watching, and it made all the difference - this time loving it!
Enjoy!

Young Pope, directed by Paolo Sorrentino was one of the best TV series I have seen in a while. Great cast, good music, funny and smart.

Really am stuck into the Exorcist series on Syfy - really good stuff.
The BBC four part drama "Howards End" is wonderful.. just caught up with it this weekend.

Wilder. It's a Swiss "Krimiserie" on SRF, really well done, good actors. A rather pleasant surprise.
(and yes, I do have to watch the High German subtitles from time to time and still liked it )

Well, that's evolution in practice I suppose.
The Crown was binge-worthy though - looking forward to the next Netflix sequel over Christmas

Highly recommend the brilliant german series "Dark" on Netflix.
Without a doubt, it should come with a binge warning |

My favourite tv drama of the Christmas season so far was 'The Miniaturist'. It was just so different to anything else around, and I highly recommend it.

The Crown season 2 on Netflix is good but some episodes are better than others. The two episodes which cover the Kennedy's visit and the Queen's trip to Ghana are rather well done, I thought.
In contrast to that, the Christmas special of Victoria was a pile of sentimental tosh and terribly twee.
Anyone seen BBC's Little Women? Any good?
Another recommendation for Netflix: Godless, American Western series, is excellent. Michelle Dockery from Downton fame is brilliant in her austere role and quite the star of the series.. but there are other stand out performances too. Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it yet.
Netflix really are on top of the game when it comes to excellent dramas.

I turned-off the Christmas Victoria special in disgust (and I'd been really looking forward to it).
Am now binging on Little Women just now, and it's keeping my nice cosy Christmas embers still glowing nicely...
