Dark was superb.. loved the soundtrack too.
The Alienist begins this week on Netflix.
I was really into the series of books by Caleb Carr. A good cast too with Daniel Brühl and Luke Evans, should be great.. am on countdown | This user would like to thank for this useful post: | |

| | Re: good TV series recomendations..... ? The Alienist was ultimately enjoyable although uneven in many ways - 1 or 2 episodes in particular were really top notch. Be prepared, many scenes are tough to stomach

A very English Scandal is quite enjoyable, Hugh Grant actually doing some acting for a change
Just started Missions which is a French Sci Fi series about a expedition to Mars.
And the PKD Electric Dreams on C4 are excellent.

There was a nice article in the Grauniad about how Hugh Grant hated acting his rom-com roles and was happier now that he's old enough and ugly enough to be offered more interesting roles.

I missed the first series of The Handmaid's Tale, but I'm two episodes into the second series and struggling with it. I'm not sure that I want those images in my head. Either I'm getting soft in my old age, or it really is too much gratuitous violence and sadism.

decide yourself.
PS. the book(s),as well as the decades worth of paperbacks etc. was something different than the now US interpretation.

Channel 4 is showing the excellent Belgian drama Tabula Rasa - a mystery/ thriller/horror. It's binge worthy telly.

Watched the Star Trek episode and that was pretty good, not sure about Hello Kitty or Lego, I guess if you had Lego as a kid it might be interesting?

Darcy | | | | | The LEGO episode was quite cool. The Hello Kitty, not so much. But in any case, interesting to learn the history of the toys I grew up with and, in some cases, still have. |

She's been my best mate since we were 5, and her response was... "No! No! No! This is not for you! There's not enough dolphins, puppies and unicorns in it for you."
I've really been looking forward to the 3 parter, 'Pompeii's Final Hours: New Evidence' which begins tonight on Channel 5. It's being broadcast over 3 consecutive nights. I've done a few full day visits to Pompeii and have still only seen about two thirds of the site that's available to the public.
