Second season of Westworld is stunning. Twisty turny, but stunning.

Very much looking forward to the new Sasha Baron Cohen series "Who is America?" which starts on Monday on C4

Its already getting great publicity. I hope for SBC he manages to pull it off without getting too many death threats from outraged Neo Con Christian fanatics.

Re: good TV series recomendations..... ?

Unforgotton series 3 has recently started on ITV.

I am not usually into the main channels drama series, much prefer Netflix or Amazon prime. However, the Unforgotton series has good quality stories written and acted brilliantly. Series 2 was exceptional, well worth seeing if you haven't yet.

I think it is now on Netflix, if memory serves..

Maggie Smith is back to do the Downton movie, yes! It better be good.. need my period drama fix. The last decent one was War and Peace.

First episode was pretty poor IMHO. It's a tired routine tbh and surprising after all these years SBC hasn't really evolved his shtick at all

These days it's all too easy to lampoon US politcians or conservatives/religious zealots, feels dated

If you use Virgin Media and are wondering what's happened to some of the channels ...

Better Call Saul is back

I really wish this was one of the ones that Netflix released all at once for binging purposes

It is. It's a slow-building show in general but I like that style. I'm absolutely hooked.

What a classic!

My friend recently recommended The Night Manager starring Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston. It's another slow building type of show but has a great cast. 6 episodes at around 1 hour ish. I'm enjoying it so far.

Never seen it. Was it really that bad?

Empresses in the Palace on Netflix is definitely worth a watch. Chinese historical-fiction drama based on royal concubines power struggle for survival in the Qing dynasty. I binged it - 'twas very good.

It's hilarious. Reaching a "natural" end now but hilarious nonetheless.

Sharp Objects with Amy Adams.. is there anything that Amy Adams can't do, she is amazing.

Excellent, gritty, thriller-type drama - pulls you in from the get-go. There are hints of Donna Tart about this drama, wonder if she had any involvement.
