3-1-2 for me. I miss 11 when she was so fresh faced/cropped hair...could have won an oscar for that role...

I don't really know which one is better, 3 or 1.

The kids are great. Loved it though the parent and teacher in me had a tough time with it at times.

On Netflix:
The french series Zone Blanche or Black Spot, I'd highly recommend.
Series 1 and 2 are both excellent.

Mindhunter is rivetting! The set is amazing; just like the late 70's/early 80's.
We are hooked | The following 2 users would like to thank for this useful post: | |

Okay this is definitely not for the PC crowd, but for those of you who are anti PC, you have to watch the new Dave Chappelle special, "Sticks and Stones" via Netflix. So hysterical! My husband and I were laughing out loud... He reminds me of Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor. Enjoy!

German Sci-Fi/Drama Netflix series, Dark
I'm still a bit shocked at how good it is, in just about every sense - casting, cinematography, lighting, set design, writing, music, performances. It's really so so good and I absolutely have to watch it in German eventhough I know next to nothing in German.
For any Germans in here, how reflective is a series like this of German film/tv in general or is this really an example of how innovative Netflix have been in getting the best results in different countries? Some of the best series I've seen in the last couple of years have not been English or American

Anyone watching The Dark Crystal on Netflix? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6905542...1?ref_=nv_sr_1
I was a big fan of the original (and very disturbing at a young age) film that I watched as a kid in the 80's, and for me there has never been anything like it or that bettered it. Until now. The movie should ideally be watched first btw https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083791/
The scale and scope of this series is simply staggering when you think about the effort that must have gone into it. Rarely (I hate to say never, but...) have I seen a fantasy world created with such loving attention to detail, with such imagination... you can easily watch some scenes 3-4 times just to drink it all in. All of the weird and wonderful creatures and landscapes they have created are a genuine sight to behold. It feels eerily real.
And the puppetry... ahh, the glorious puppetry. The fact that this series is almost all live-action puppetry and actors in costume, combined with judiciously used and very well crafted CGI is what really makes it magical and brings it to life. I can hardly imagine the work that had to go into this, and after such a long break to the original movie the Henson Company have got it pretty much spot on. The story is amazing, the script and voice acting are amazing (for the most part at least, thanks to some great casting), it is full of humour (I love the Podlings, they are hilariously portrayed and there are so many good and touching scenes with them in it) and I have genuinely never seen anything like it. It is a labour of love where clearly no expense and effort was spared in recreating their vision.
This kind of benchmark quality is what happens when corporate suits do not interfere with the creative and production/directorial process and allow people to get on with implementing a vision as they see best.
I am about halfway through the season and so far can't recommend it highly enough. If it continues with this level of quality it will be the most memorable series of recent times for me.
Also out now and looking awesome: - Carnival Row https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489974/
- The Boys https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1190634...1?ref_=nv_sr_1
Coming soon: - The Witcher https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5180504/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
So much good TV to binge on rainy days!

British/Netflix production, Crazyhead. Not the most original story line with Zombie/Devil themes. But fast moving, funny and great characters. 6 part first season...
