I am unsure which of the British networks (BBC or ITV) have the contract to show live matches, this time round ....

.... but both can watched live with Zattoo.com;

.... or with BBC iPlayer/ITV player, using a VPN.

All above options offer live streaming, but may not be able to be downloaded as such, so a direct TV connection is required WLAN (wifi) or LAN (cable).

Both have rights. All the matches in the tournament will be on one or the other.

Tongue-in-cheek comment is allowed?

Invite an Englishman, preferably a fan of one of the teams to your home and watch it together?

Cablecom has many English channels, one of them should be telecasting and polluting your ears with comments...
I have learned to watch, while muting the sound...

Sounds good, just not sure how it can be legal if you are watching cross-border television that you normally have to pay a fee for - having said that, does anyone else use it as my missus is addicted to E4 (British Channel)?

I watch it all the time, linked through my TV. If you subscribe for approx 40SFr per annum you can skip all the advertising and watch in HD.

Re: How Can I Watch Euro 2012 with English commentry

Get both BBC1 and ITV1 in HD via local cable. Otherwise, I've started using the Blick app on my iPad as they stream NN1 in HD (but there's no ITV...) and also the picture starts up quicker than on Zattoo. I still Zattoo around however.

Otherwise, definitely last resort, there's always http://www.footballstreaming.info/
