TV channel: How could I receive Pro7?

I used to love watching Pro7 (Galileo at 7pm) when I lived in the German part of Switzerland. Now that I moved to Lausanne, there is no Pro7 channel (by default) in my TV! The TV is a used one, I did subscribe to citycable. Just I am not sure whether it is a matter of searching for the channel (I did search once and I got a set of channels, just without Pro7).

My question is if anyone living in the French-speaking part able to receive Pro7 on their TVs? I don't think it is a paid channel but I just wonder how come I could not find it here...

Thanks for your help. I know I should start watching French channels but alas there are german channels I just love...

You can watch it online via zattoo.com (along with dozens of other Swiss/German/Italian/British/Spanish/... channels). It's free for the lower definition version. For CHF 40 per year you can get many channels at higher definition as well.

Do you have a south facing balcony? Get a sat dish (your landlord cannot object to a dish that is inside of the balcony), Pro7 is free-to-air.

Hi Stamplover

according to citycable's own website, Pro7 should be among the channels they are offering (see here:
http://citycable.ch/tv-numerique/cha...germanophones/

Perhaps run the search again or talk to their customer support?

Bonne chance!

Re: TV channel: How could I receive Pro7?

So today I went to ask the citycable. It turns out that one has to have a digital TV in order to receive Pro7, BBC etc. He gave me a list of channels which could be received analoguely and/or digitally. THe Pro7 is in the digital group only..

So I was told that I have two options, either get a new digital TV (which is rather pricey for me at the moment) or get a "digital adapter device" for my analogue TV. Does anyone know anything about such digital adapter device? What is the technical name actually and where could I get it cheaply?

Thanks.
