Reckon I'll be getting a Noreve case again. I do like the screen to be covered when not in use

Re: iPhone 5 thread

Hi everyone,

I ordered my iPhone 5 with Orange on the 22nd of September, no news about it yet... It's not that I am in a hurry but Orange invoiced me already the related amount and considered I haven't received it yet I am "a bit" pissed off, anyone in my same situation?

cheers

S.

Re: iPhone 5 thread

Picked one up yesterday, impulse buying... 32 GB black. There are a number of them ready with the mini-SIM cards at the OLMA.

Looking at the Noreve case, always important to protect an investment.

Are you kidding me? are you a new orange customer or you renewed your contract? I ordered it more than 3 weeks ago and I didn't receive it yet ...

Re: iPhone 5 thread

I placed an order online. I'm too busy to go on weekends. It says 3-4 weeks till I get it, but hopefully I can get it sooner.

Before you complain about apple maps and the phone being too light...here is a funny confrontation between complainers and Iphone 5 makers

Re: iPhone 5 thread

Did an online reservation and have just received an email from Apple to tell me that they have a 32GB black iPhone 5 with my name on it, I just need to pass by the Apple store in central Zurich *today* between 15:00 and 16:00 to collect it. There is no way to change the date, either I collect it today or I lose my spot in the queue. I'm in back to back meetings from 13:00 to 18:00 so its obviously not possible.

What a crock of **** the legendary Apple Customer Service clearly FAILS here. They should stop treating it like some winning lottery ticket event, 'Congratualtions, you are worthy enough to buy an iPhone". What is wrong with holding it for an extra day, or taking payment by card etc..

Double Grrrr

They think every buyer is a total tool/fanboy that will queue up to pick up their(crappy, IMO) new phone. To me, this is just an amazing argument against being an early adopter.

I was able to change the reservation, albeit the the evening before. With the risk of sounding obvious, did you try the link "Abholdatum ändern" in the reservation e-mail?

Well, how would you feel if you went in to the apple store, saw the phone, and some jokers all like, nah.... it's been reserved by someone else, they'll come pick it up whenever.

Or if you were in a queue, and you left for 2 hours, then you come back to the queue and you all like, yeah, sorry, had to leave a couple of hours ago, can I just cut in front of you?

Can you call the Apple Store and explain your situation? Can you delegate a proxy to pick it up for you?

Re: iPhone 5 thread

This crap is exactly the reason why I picked up a 4S in July to replace my failing 3G with, despite knowing that the iPhone 5 was just around the corner. I knew that if I waited until the iPhone 5 I stood a good chance of my 3G dying completely while still waiting for the iPhone 5 to be delivered.

If it turns out I really want an iPhone 5 I'll pick one up after Christmas when I can walk into a store, and walk away with the phone without any of this bull**** waiting. However as it happens I'm perfectly happy with the 4S.

Are you sure you can't change the reservation date / time? I was allocated a slot last week, but then went onto the site and ended up changing it twice as my plans changed.

It gives you the option of changing the time only (not day), and the system will only give you a slot which is still free i.e. when there is an Apple Genius available. For people like me who know how to turn on a phone and sync my data, well...

Sounds like it's changed from last week then. They didn't use any of the Apple Genius staff, you just turned up, joined the marked queue, and then one of the standard retail staff handed you the box and took your cash. No training or Genius bar kind of thing involved.

I reserved using this link, specific to the iPhone. It's not a standard Genius Bar reservation, I don't know if that might be the difference:

Wow, thats even more stupid than I thought
I assumed the time slot was to have someone walk you through the set up, migration etc.. not a time slot to stand in a queue. I think I'll wait until a time convenient to myself... thats how standard retail works.
