Re: Squeezebox

My English OH got a squeezebox - cost about the same but very much harder to learn to use. It's a full chromatic one, so he can impress the immigration authorities that he has truly integrated. Richard Galliano is his Hero. LOL

(must say take my hat off to OH - not the easiest of things to tackle in your retirement. I bet he'd love one of the above too..).

Re: Squeezebox

BTW best place to buy online seems to be http://digitec.ch/ - prices are oftent 50 CHF cheaper than from Logitech.

Thinking about a Squeezebox Radio for the kitchen (as I'm spening more and more time there cooking - that's my justification anyway!).

Re: Squeezebox

Not sure about the Radio, but from my understanding all the other devices need to have Squeezebox server running somewhere on your network, i.e. a PC or NAS.

This obviously is not ideal for everyone, as it is not a standalone solution.

Re: Squeezebox

Cool, you are sorted then.

I went the Squeezebox route as I could run the server on my old NAS. My new NAS did not have it but it was easy to add. However for some reason the radio streaming has stopped working and I need to get to the bottom of the problem, but no rush as I mainly prefer to listen to music from my collection. If I want UK radio I can do this from my Satellite to an amp.
