Nokia 6600 flip-top - can't bluetooth

I am trying to bluetooth some photos from my Nokia 6600 (from way back) to my laptop (Acer 5750) but it is not detecting the device. I have enabled Bluetooth on my phone.

Any idea how I can get this to work please?

Re: Nokia 6600 flip-top - can't bluetooth

You need to:

a) Set Bluetooth visible on both devices
b) Bluetooth pair them ( codes are required to pair them, usually 0000 or 1234 )

Then they can communicate and exchange files.

Re: Nokia 6600 flip-top - can't bluetooth

I am still having problems (grrrrrr). Bluetooth is enabled and visible on the phone. I have just installed a bluetooth wizard on my laptop to see if that would help, but it hasn't.

When I click on printers and devices/add a new device, it is not able to detect the phone. The annoying thing is that I cannnot tell if the problem lies with the laptop, the phone, or both!

Re: Nokia 6600 flip-top - can't bluetooth

It is not add a device, but from within your bluetooth applet of your lappy / PC, add or search for a device.

My OS is Linux ( screenshot enclosed ) but it is similiar to your Windows OS.
