UPC Cablecom December offers

Hi,

in case you're interested, UPC Cablecom has launched some interesting discounts on product packages and combinations.

I currently have the 25Mbps line with no other products, for 50.- CHF per month. They're offering
  • upgrade to100Mbps
  • Digital TV with 115 SD channels and 25 HD channels
  • free calls to swiss landlines
for 25.- more per month, bringing the total up to 75.-

The ad says it's 75 instead of 125, which looks like a huge discount.

For another 25.- CHF per month, they throw in free landlines calls to 34 countries and a few other TV channels (both SD and HD). This one looks less appealing to me, since the Switzernet VOIP service offers the same free calls for 9 CHF per month and I don't need the additional TV channels, but YMMV.

Now I'm off to read all the complain threads about CC HD box

Just one other thing to all fellow english-only speakers, sometimes more is not always better, my colleague warned that many of the extra channels are german only so wouldn't be of much extra value for the TV stations (maybe phone is another thing but I think a phone card is much cheaper)

Re: UPC Cablecom December offers

Could anyone explain me how the whole procedure works? I wrote UPC but they have no desire to answer me for some reason

I want to order a Kombi-Angebot online (self-made, 50MB Int. + Comfort TV, because only there are some children channels).

I move to the new apartment on 20.12, I leave one day later for Christmas and go back on 27/8th. I would like to make such an order, that there will be a package with hardware and everything else I need to make it work when I'm back(there is someone in the building to pick it up for me). Do they send everything in one package? With an agreement? Do I have to do something more?

I ask because I heard only the worst regarding UPC Cablecom support, but in my new place there is no other choice :/
