security message from microsoft

Will this be another scam ? have recieved an email from account-security-noreply@microsoft.com saying thanks that Ive changed my security code.
If it wasnt me that wanted a new number have to click on a box and change my code.
Is this a new sort of scam?should I report it?
Help!

TOTAL scam, microsoft NEVER send out anything to individual private users about security. Never click anything from them, use their website.

I've noticed an increase in these types of scam recently. I had three scam emails about support tickets, all from different organisations, all using the same basic wording, within the space of about 30 minutes.

Re: security message from microsoft

My favourite is the Indian call centre claiming To be Windows support. The game is how long you can string them along and thereby rack up their phonebill. I normally ask them which of the 10 computers in my house is displaying the security issue.

Cheers,
Nick

Some people ( http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/05..._cold_calling/ ) have even been known to hand over money on believing this. Others... well we're all somebody's troll, aren't we?
