Well I thought Dr Who last night was good on the whole, but I sense that the Eastenders writing team had some influence on it. Seen as so many people died. Rather depressing. The flying Angel bit was rather dodgy too.
I saw a comment on Christmas Eastenders on the BBC website. It said watched eastender and then called the Samaritans!
The schedule of the BBC and ITV was rather poor in places from what I saw listed. Anyway, there is more to Christmas than TV.

Anybody know how we could watch online the new series of Dr Who starting tomorrow?
It looks like it will be available through BBC.co.uk and ABC.net.au (an hour later).
Surely there is a way that we can access it here?

At least they're being sensible this time and running the whole series as one instead of the stupid idea last year of splitting it into two lots. Twelve episodes followed by the Christmas special just the way it should be.

It's on BBC1, which I'm sure is available on Zattoo and other steamers. Alternatively Cablecom and Swisscom both carry it on their TV packages, at least around Zurich. Alternatively, doesn't Astra2d carry such stuff?

And if you can't get the VPN to work...
I use this website for TV series not available in Switzerland. New series get uploaded usually a few hours after they have been broadcast. http://watchseries.eu/serie/doctor_who | This user would like to thank BigW for this useful post:

For ex. upc cablecom has BBC1,2,3,4 ITV1,2,3,4 Channel 4, Film 4, E4, More 4, in its Classic digital package
Also Swisscom TV and Sunrise TV have all those channels.
But if you insist on online: check out Zattoo | This user would like to thank aSwissInTheUS for this useful post:

I do not know who this Doctor is. And o Lord, I do not have enough time to watch every series. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to exterminate one or two good ones.

Avoid the links that make you install a plugin (it will stuff up your browser/search engine) .
I find the episodes on putlocker.com to be problem free, though they all generate lost of ads/pop up windows. But hey it's free.

Does that mean it's only twelve weeks to Christmas? | | | | | Almost. I used to work at the good old Beeb and we worked in 4 quarters of 3 months to make up the year. So October to end December would be the 4th quarter of the year. I expect they want a bit of a break between end of episode 12 and the Christmas special. About 16 weeks to go I'd guess, maybe 17 max. Now, where did I put the Christmas cards. | This user would like to thank Medea Fleecestealer for this useful post:

Doctor Who was brilliant last night! (I know, I'm just a big kid )
Loved the twist at the end, but is this the last we will be seeing of Jenna-Louise Coleman? My hubby hopes not .
