| | English Football on the Radio
Hi all,
Does anyone know how to get it? Both Talk Sport and Five Live shut down during football times due to what they say is 'contractual obligations'. I can get Sky Sports centre but then have to sit at the PC. Any help appreciated.

Depends on who you wanna listen to?
I'm currently listening to the Chelsea v Spurs game on BBC London via the internet. Being a Spurs fan, BBC London cover all their games, so I'm lucky.
You could try the local BBC station for your team.

BBC London good and doing the job nicely. So why can Five Live not broadcast the same game? It's the same company. Wierd.

It's a rights issue. I think it's something to do with local rights v national rights. I know, it's weird but then these rights issues are!!

I posted this link some time back but it stopped working on Macs, you need IE on a PC for some reason. Click on the "GO" next to the game you want and it'll show if they have commentary. Sometimes you have to listen to your opposing clubs own radio station commentary, which can be interesting! http://matchlive.safc.premiumtv.co.u...me.html?reload
Please let me know if it still works. I subscribe to Leeds Utd TV so get live radio broadcasts from Yorkshire TV and televised highlights a day or 2 later. And yes, it is worth it, even if it is League One |

Just so you know where to send your complaints |

There's always been a rule about not broadcasting 3pm Saturday kick offs, as a way of keeping attendance up I think, hence all the various weekend kick off times |

Well it still works. Forgot I subscribed to this whilst still living in the UK. (Being a SAFC fan). Typed in my old username and downloaded what it told me to and excellent. Lets me listen to all the games live. Nice one.

Has anyone got the Man Utd v City game anywhere or knows where I can listen to the game later? I can't face another 2hr hike to Bern to watch them.

It may be worth trying the BBC local stations as mentioned in earlier posts. Here is the index to the BBC Local Radio stations websites. They should all have a 'Listen Live' option usually at the top of the Home Page.
