Wall socket replacement for Internet Cable

Hello All,

New to Switzerland and new to this forum (can only improve at a later stage ).

I have just moved in an appartement with Cable internet, and the wall socket (maybe you have the same, you know, the one with 3 different holes), has a small pin broken.

I do not know it's name and I do not know where I can find one.

Can anyone help me with that?
I can't beleive how much I'm an internet addict

ps: I don't buy those component from the net usually, preferably going to a shop, I like to check these myself.

Re: Wall socket replacement for Internet Cable

Look in the electrical department of Coop Bau & Hobby, and Migros Do-It

Re: Wall socket replacement for Internet Cable

Thanks, it seems that there is on Migros near me.
BTW, these COOP and Migros look like they sell everything and each of them have specific brands to them...I think COOP sells for example Lindt, but Migros sells Frey (or something like that), am I correct?

Which is cheaper in the end?

You need the hardware Migros http://www.doitgarden.ch/

or the hardware Coop http://www.coop.ch/pb/site/bauhobby/...Lde/index.html

Re: Wall socket replacement for Internet Cable

If you just moved in and the socket is defective, shouldn't your landlord take care of it?

I think you should just let the landlord know and have it fixed professionally. Screwing that up could affect the tv/internet in the entire building.
