Swisscom DSL VS. Migros DSL

I just came across the offer from Migros DSL for 64 CHF a month, including 15000Kb internet and TV. this is compared to the Swisscom DSL plus TV at 94 a month. I just wonder if anyone has experience in Migros DSL. I know that they are just using the same network as Swisscom itself. but why there is such a discount? if I want to switch from Swisscom to Migros, is the process smooth? thanks

Re: Swisscom DSL VS. Migros DSL

I used Migros naked DSL for about an year and I am satisfied with their service. Internet speed is as they promised and there was never a downtime. Notice period for discontinuation of service is 2 months and there is no minimum contract period.

I got a netgear router and the connections in the telephone box in the basement were done for free. Swisscom normally asks to hire an electrician to make these connections.

Re: Swisscom DSL VS. Migros DSL

We recently switched to Migros internet and TV.

Internet is fine.

TV is dreadful. We have spent so much time on the phone to customer service that we now have our own dedicated advisor who has given us his name and asked us to always ask for him (no, I'm not joking). TV cuts out, the pause, rewind and replay functions are erratic, sometimes the TV will 'jam' in the same place in a programme and no amount of pausing, rewinding and replaying with get over the jam, and sometimes it just stops working.

We hoped the issues would resolve themselves over time but they aren't.

Depends how much you like watching TV... and how quickly you are frustrated.
