| | Re: What’s App | Quote: | | | | | | | | | | How to get out of whatsapp advised by Sun. My first thought was .... never mind. But they got it right. Only the exporting part did not work for me, only the last message was in there. I know because I lost a dear friend and wanted to keep our conversation before deleting as we shall never be able to talk again.
What I did was highlightening it all, copied it, inserted it in a document. All I had to do after that was insert the dates as they were not copied. As to the photos I shifted those I wanted to keep out of the whats-app folder into other ones, just to be safe. Meaning I don't know if the photos in the galery/whatsapp folder will be deleted when closing the whatsapp account.
For the smile-thread actually: I smile because my contacts keep trickling in on Signal. (I get a message each time one does .... so much for sneaking in privately )

On one of my devices, I accidentally agreed to the new WhatsApp conditions, rather than hit "not now". Does anyone know how to undo this? Thanks.

Luckily it was an old UK number which I keep just in case I need to verify something using a uk number - so it's hardly ever used. It's on my tablet so I can easily send from there to elsewhere. Now telegram allows multiple devices I'll just delete the account.

And when they join a group and complain about how so many messages.
Now i remembered: Since i left switzerland (3 months) i heard not even once the word yoga |

If that old UK-number is in no way connected with your accounts on there (how does one register with fb and instagram? Yeah, well never mind, I won't anyway) you could be cheeky and keep whatsapp on this one. Not that I would though as they will always be one step ahead of us and your friends will somehow connect it all in their contacts and boooom .....

Twitter stock in freefall, wattsapp coming out and clarifying stuff when millions are deserting the Zuckerberg ship. It’s a bit rich of wattsapp coming out trying to slow the peoples desertion from that service with clarification statements with Facebooks record on privacy in the past or their lack of privacy.

Whatsapp have taken out full page adverts in Indian newspapers asking people to stay. Millions have also apparently downloaded Signal and Telegram apps in the last few days. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-s...-b1787443.html | This user would like to thank TonyClifton for this useful post:

I use Signal for quite a time. It's good. In fact I don't see much differences between Signal and WhatsApp, it's only a matter who can use your data | Quote: | | | | | Has anyone made the switch to Signal? Is it worth it? | | | | | | This user would like to thank Gravity for this useful post:

Whatsapp have postponed the change to their terms of service and privacy update. This comes as a result of people moving to alternatives. Seems to me to be a PR disaster for Facebook!

Still using WhatsApp because I personally don't see the point in fleeing to Signal or whatever since most of my contacts use WhatsApp. It's not like we share state secrets or nude pictures so I don't care. | This user would like to thank greenmount for this useful post:
