UPC and old sockets -- How to connect

Hello,

I am moving to another apartment which is old. The available sockets are depicted below:

Is there some kind of adaptor that I could use in order to connect the modem that I have?

Electrician to fit a new faceplate to the top image. The bottom one is phone connection.

I'd check you can get cable internet at the new location before doing so.

Thank you, we have checked that we can transfer the cable connection there.

Given that you have a museum piece socket, you'll also have museum piece cabling

Changing just the socket will allow you to connect to the ancient cable. But the ancient cable will prevent many of the newer channels in the higher frequency areas. And newer services such as Internet may not work at all

Ideally, the cable in the building needs to be replaced.

You can always adopt a "try and see" approcah but be warned that you will have problems...

contact the landlord/owner. Don't accept such an ancient thing.
