Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

I would expect the seasonpass code to the region specific also as it is unlocking DLC content.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

I bought Streetfighter V last night.

It is the first game I can think of that has been released half-finished, intentionally.

It's pretty shallow in terms of various modes etc, but it has a familiar enough feel for fans of the series, so I'd still recommend it.

I've yet to test myself online, but I assume I'll have my jacksie handed to me by some American teenagers, as the reflexes aren't what they were back in Streetfighter 2 days

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

Is it just me or is there simply too much good stuff around to play at the moment.

The choice for this weekend comes down to Unravel, Firewatch, Division beta, Lego Avengers.... decisions decisions.

Next week it will be worse with the release of Farcry Primal.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

Update 3.5 on the PS4 will allow you to stream to your PC or Mac. How will that work with the controls?

This will be a nice feature for me at the moment when my PS4 and PC are in different rooms; won't make so much sense when they're sat next to each other in the man-cave come October.

Really helpful when the TV is held up by OH.

I've been doing it at my xperia tablet. You just connect the Dualshock with BT and you're set

Expect some ping depending WiFi, but for Ethernet connections it should be pretty awesome.

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

I've been doing this with the unofficial remote ps4 client and it has been working well, lag free as long as the ps4 and PC are both wired to the network. For controls I've been using an Xbox controller, both wired and wireless. For the official client I expect they will want a dual shock connected by BT or Usb cable.

I've had Primal for a few days, after a bit of a slow start I'm finding it fun. Takes a while to get used to the idea of no guns though!

So much so that on the walk back from Kita this morning there was a Red Kite circling over the field and I found myself considering if I should shoot it out of the sky or wait until it lands

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

So the new firmware update has left my Sony TV purchase completely obsolete? Fudge you Sony!

Really though, this is great, with an Ethernet wired house, in theory the OH can get the TV and I can play in my man cave. All I need to find now is an OH!

Re: The Playstation 4 Current/Future Owners Thread

I suppose what will be nice is that I'll be able to play in the new living room on the new 65" LED TV (which I fully intend to buy) via the Mac mini, whilst the PS4 remains downstairs.

I have a 120" projector screen in my tiny (2.8 x 2.8m) man cave. The next level of immersion would be VR goggles

You can stream from your PS4 to play on any networked Mac or PC. The Sony release is short on details, but this is what I understand it to be. It's not featured in the 3.50 beta, however.

It will be 4.5 m wide where the TV will be, and the TV will be mounted on one wall and the sofa up against the opposite wall .
