CE is fine for Switzerland.

However, CE is a self-certifying mark. You may want to practice due diligence and confirm that a manufacturer actually has test data to back up the mark.
A manufacturer should have a link to CE/FCC data on their website.

Generally, if the product is available for sale in Switzerland, it will have been approved.

The Sonoff Mini Zigbee is certified. Link

If you do decide to home-automate your home, this is what I have learned:

Make sure everything will still work (or aren't important) without the home-automation system and choose control devices accordingly.
For example, I've got some 'behind-the-switch' zigbee dimmers for lighting and with the home automation, I can dim them via Alexa or turn them on when someone comes in etc etc but without the zigbee network, they appear, to the user, to be normal Feller push button switches.

Make sure any control device is rated to, or above the power demands of the socket/light fitting. You don't want someone else to plug a higher wattage device into a socket and cause overheating.

If you have any questions, ask here!
Just make sure it is the CE mark and not the China Export mark! The existence of the 'CE' mark always makes me laugh.

Well I did check to see of there were any certificates and data to back up the CE mark.

It does look like the China Export mark was deliberately made to look like the The Conformité Européenne mark!

Re: Home Automation in Switzerland

Theoretically they have certificates of conformity provided by a registered CE Body - but one located in San Francisco

Anyway this case seems legit, and logos are "circle shaped"... but who knows

Luckily I was aware of that, and checked the docs before. And still waiting for feedback from electrician
