Re: UPC Cablecom MOBILE

Just to say, the switch-over from Salt to Cablecom Mobile happened yesterday, and it was painless.

Cablecom sent several useful SMS messages to me, reminding when to put in the SIM card, and my overall service was never interrupted. And the 4G speed, and mobile coverage seems identical to being with Salt.

Interestingly, Salt made no effort to talk me into staying with them, rather than me transferring to the "25 CHF per month" Cablecom Mobile offer.

Yet today, Salt has a new offer. Unlimited SMS/Phone/4G within Switzerland for 29 CHF per month (instead of 59 CHF). But, of course, this is just for new customers, or Salt customers who are eligible to renew their subscription.

So, it's business as usual at Salt... they're only happy to give discounts to new customers... I'm glad I left.

Re: UPC Cablecom MOBILE

I spoke too soon.

One final problem with Salt. :

They've emailed me my final bill, with plenty of links to let me log onto their website, to go online and pay it.

Oh, but every page just shouts at me that I no longer have an active subscription (which is true..) and it doesn't even let me view my bill or pay this final amount online using a credit card. Genius.

I do wonder if, when they're recruiting people, Salt deliberately discards anyone with a shred of common sense...

I saw this advertised on a blackboard outside Salt at Zurich Stadelhofen.

They often have offers like this, which aren't advertised on the Salt website.
