First of all I would like to wish Mr Neil luck, well a hell of a lot of it. He is going to need it and maybe some miracles.
I don't know if he knows it yet but I believe that he has baught the mobile operator with the worst customer care in Switzerland, or maybe even Europe.
Why do I say that? Well from personal experience.
I have been a customer of Orange UK, O2, BT, Virgin France, Vodafone UK, Vodaphone Ireland, Virgin UK, Swisscom, Sunrise, Cablecom, Green.ch, Lebara UK, Lebara CH, O2 Ireland and a few more. But I have never felt that Orange CH wanted to keep me as a customer.
Many people I speak to also say the same.
In 2014 Orange failed to do the following;
1 To provide a usable 3G reception in my office in Lausanne. In fact I regularly received SMS messages welcoming me to France. They might as well have given my a million minutes, and 20 Terabytes, I could never have used it.
2 To bill me correctly.
3 Deliver an iPhone I ordered on their call centre.
4 To cancel my order so I could pick it up in an Orange shop in Lausanne.
5 To move my number to another operator in one month (after I gave up on Orange).
6 To give me credible reasons why number 5 wasn't done.
7 To give me the customer service manager's name so I could complain directly to them.
I still am a Swisscom customer. I have to say their customer care is second to none. It is easily the best I have ever seen in Europe. They are professional, punctual, polite, competent and they do what they say they will do.
They are a little expensive, but which would you rather, an expensive service with unlimited minutes and data that works almost everywhere in Switzerland, and 1st class customer care, ----- or something less.
