[How to watch the] Cricket World Cup 2015

Where can I watch the cricket world cup 2015 in Zurich? I mean there are a bunch of streaming sites, and starsports.com provides some coverage. but what else? Does BBC show some matches?

Re: Cricket World Cup 2015

Bump.

I would prefer to watch legal/high quality streams so... according to Wikipedia the rights in Europe for these are held by Eurosport. Has anyone looked into how one could subscribe to Eurosport for a couple of months and actually, will there be enough live games to make it worthwhile?

Cheers

www.cricvid.com shows some quality live streaming but BBC does not provide a live coverage other than a live commentary..

Yes, some unofficial sites does say that it will be available on Eurosport. If it is then you can watch online at http://www.eurosportplayer.de/ at 6.99 euro per month. You can subscribe for a month and then you have option to unsubscribe before the month ends.
However there is no mentioning whether they are going to broadcast it, even their monthly calender does not mention the cricket matches in the month of feb-march.
The bad thing is its customer care is rubbish; they dont respond or reply to any of your queries. Last time I had one subscription for T20 Champions tropy. They used to broadcast based on their desire even some of the matches they showed only till half-innings.

Re: Cricket World Cup 2015

Good news for Cricket fans in Switzerland;
Start sports is going to broadcast online, still not clear about the subscription package though.
But their FAQ section does mention Switzerland in the list of countries where the world cup will be shown.

Are you sure that it is being telecast on Eurosport2. None of the schedules seems to suggest that cricket is showing on eursport

A bit hesitant of getting it as not sure what streaming quality would be like from India. Would be great if someone here who subsctibes from Switzerland can report back after this weekend on what the Live matches are like. I am also v. interested in what sort of replays they offer for those of us wanting to sleep in!

Am I being daft? The thing starts this week and I couldn't find anything live or highlights on http://www.eurosportplayer.de/tvschedule.shtml

Maybe someone at Eurosport forgot that they bought the CWC package

Re: Cricket World Cup 2015

I cannot see the Cablecom Eurosport schedule yet but
will confirm on the weekend if the games are being aired or not.
I think it's likely that the England games will be shown on
one of the BBC or ITV channels.
If all else fails I watch it on Webcric or Crictime streaming. Its free and
the quality is not bad.

Re: Cricket World Cup 2015

Do consider when you watch cricket on Eurosport on the TV the commentary is always french / german. Also not all games are shown and some games are shown only partly.
On the eurosportplayer.de the commentary is live english commentary. So this is much better and will be similar to starsport website streaming. One problem with the streaming is that it is a bit behind the actual game.

Re: Cricket World Cup 2015

Cablecom Eurosport HD and recently upgraded Eurosport 2 HD has
English Dolby Digital sound tracks.
You need the Cablecom digital decoder though.

I have used StartSports before and the quality has been really good. Not sure how it will be for the cricket 'world cup' event but considering the price of subscription (~18-20 CHF), I think it's well worth the risk. Cheers!

I got the starsports subscription but the deferred live telecast of India- Afghanistan warm up was not playing. Has anyone actually seen any match live so far with this world cup package?

Re: Cricket World Cup 2015

http://www.upc-cablecom.ch/en/television/products/

For 40 chf per month on the Comfort DTV you get 180 channels, 97 in HD.
Eurosport 1 and 2 HD. 1080i or 720p HD quality.Very good quality sound on HD channels. Not always english though.
You can also record the games which helps in this case with most games
very early morning.
You also have BBC 1 + 2 HD for the rugby six nations.
The last rugby world cup I watched on Sport 1 + HD.

I got the subscription today and it's working fine for me. Saw bits of the England Pakistan warm up game.
