My ipod nano died a horrible death. Help with resuscitating

I hope someone knows how to get him back to life. This is what happened:

I joined a gym. The treadmill has a connection for earphones, so I can listen to music while pretending to sweat. All my earphones had what I think was a bad connection, and kind of pinged my ears every now and then. The only one that behaved properly was the one that came with my nano.

Since I didn't want to be separating them, they seemed to miss each other, you could tell, I went to the Migros shop and bought a cord cruncher earphone.

For some reason, I tried it on Nano first. It worked, and I got a message that I didn't bother to read because I was in a hurry.

When I got back home, I wanted to charge Nano on the PC but got an error message saying it didn't recognise the device.

Now, I know for a fact that's not true, because I introduced them myself 3 months ago.

So, Nano is dead. He doesn't breath or light up when I plug him in or when he sees me.

Please help. My life has no meaning without him.

Have you tried to hold the home button and the on off switch simultaneously to reset this? I had a similar problem recently. Good luck!

the first picture is an ipod, the second an iphone.

Do you see the difference?

This very technique restored life back into my iPhone a couple of weeks ago!

Good luck at the gym!

Odile, the ipod is the new age walkman ;o)

You got it back?? Nice.

We bitch and moan about this place all the time, but some people here keep making my life easier, and less boring

Ms. Marple, it got fixed a couple of days later!

In fairness she did choose two very similar looking ones.

If she'd shown a phone like this you'd have spotted the difference surely?

YES- I actually got an i-Pad for Christmas, but no i-Pod

And to the great frustration of family and friends, my traditional mobile phone is only used on very rare occasions

But we digress, so glad you and i-Pod are reunited and happy now x

I don't know what you are implying. My rolls of fat and I have a meaningful relationship and go to the gym together, to meet other rolls and make friends.
We just like to take Nano along for the ride.

Ahh, if only it were that easy...
