Problem with TV power

Hello,

I recently moved to a new house in Renens and my TV does not receive any power at home. (it worked fine in the old one)

I tried all possible outlets and adapters, but nothing worked.
Thus, I got it to Conforama, where we just put it in an outlet and it turned on. That simple. Then, back home and still it doesn't work.

Does that make any sense?

Meanwhile, all other devices at home work ok.

The TV is a Blaupunkt BA39L210BFBKPE995
Model No.: 39-210l-GB-5B-FHBKUP-EU

Thanks for any tip.

Re: Problem with TV power

Maybe you accidentally switched the TV off on the way home? Maybe you haven't tested the wall sockets correctly? Some are switched off by the wall light switch.

There is no switch on/off button. You just plug it in and the red light appears (normally).

Sockets are ok. I plug some other device before/after I plug the tv and the other device always works.

Re: Problem with TV power

normally its capacitors which are faulty, you can locate them in power unit inside of the tv (careful , take out electricity and make sure that power is out) , you solder them out and buy new ones from conrad.

Oh wow, that would be a lot easier to do than to get that darn heavy thing out of the house an to a dumping place.

But the TV is from 2009 .... guess I was lucky it worked until last week and this kind of replacements are just not done anymore. Or are they again?
Quick check on ebay (only place they seem to bother with those boards) showed none for my TV.

How deep is my carbon footprint if I throw it away? (I know my physical footprints will be deep, shifting it )
