My fruit-based account is up on 25.11 so sent notification today that I will not be renewing.

I am tempted by Cablecom's Mobile Super - as my main use is data rather than calls - and they offer 10GB for SFr49/month. Lack of 4G puts me off though.
Em? In Orange... ekhm, SALT you have unlimited 4G for 35 / month (with option for 1 month rolling contract)... going for 10GB / 49 with 3G only doesn't seem logical really. In fact I have above subscription for over 2 months now and overall it's a great value.

But, aren't the employees the same? Are you saying a name change invoked a complete change of attitude towards customers?
This. Obviously it's the exact same company and employees but with a new name... nothing has changed except a temporary drive to sell the new branding.

No argument with your grammar, it's your spelling up with which I'd rather not have to put.

I am also doing ~100GB / month on average it seems. There was a guy on their old forum claiming he sometimes was doing 20-30GB / day. Anyway, before buying I called them and they assured me that it is truly unlimited, and that there is no 'fair usage' crap. So far I didn't hit any limit.

I don't like the guy, that's for sure - the new company is more of the same: insanely high prices, lousy network. It's no competition and won't have anyone switch from Swisscom, that's for sure. Good luck Salt :-)

Re: Orange CH name change - 23.04.2015

I switched from Swisscom to Orange and have better reception where I live (Wollishofen) - Swisscom somehow has awful reception in the 8002/8038 region.

Orange was also considerably considerably cheaper than Swisscom, so if Salt is more of the same, long live Salt.!

Not here in the Lake of Constance area - Orange / Salt is awful here and not worth the money.

Re: Orange CH name change - 23.04.2015

Has anyone experienced unusual network issues with this SALT that never used to occur under Orange? Did Orange uproot its network masts or something when they sold the company? At this rate I will be going back to Swisscom whence I came. The only alternative is Sunrise and that too has rather patchy coverage from what I hear.

Re: Orange CH name change - 23.04.2015

I've lost all my 2g,3g,4g access today at work. Anyone know if we are not happy with the new service as we were Orange can we do something? Cancel contracts? I'm really frustrated as I only signed the new Orange contract in February and this is going to cause me issues. I can't even get onto their website at the office and when I try from my mobile I get an error message that they are having serious server issues.

Dotty.

Re: Orange CH name change - 23.04.2015

Bit the bullet and renewed my Orange/Salt contract today. Unlimited Surf in Switzerland for 35.- and the cheapest talk/SMS option for 15.-. Add on to that the monthly iPhone 6 plus 64GB payment, which brings it to 78.50 a month. I was expecting the monthly phone payment to total more than the one-off price for the phone, but it's exactly the same, which is nice. I also benefit from their introductory offer of 100.- off the first bill if you renew by 31st May.
Customer service were also very helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English.
I have to say, Salt. is growing on me.
