Oh no! Mine was the cellular version - don‘t know if they ship from other places according to the model. Anyhow, it‘s a version worth the wait!
Anyhow, just checked the emails I received - mine wasn‘t due to be delivered until yesterday, but it still came earlier - so you might still be lucky.
Monday is fine. Needed/wanted it to arrive by Wednesday.

Re: The Apple Watch Thread

I just need to rant as I'm so disappointed.

My apple watch came today.

Firstly the solo loop band was too small. Annoying but sortable.

Now I've realised it won't charge. It charged to 70% and stopped. Now it won't charge at all. I've tried everything up to and including a full reset. Gutted

It's going to have to be returned.

Oh no . First Spain and now this - it‘s really not your month. Did you do the thing with printing and cutting-out the watch strap size?

Anyway, easily fixable, and you can exchange it for the cellular version while you’re at it . So maybe it was just meant to be . When you go into the store, just tell your OH that „ontop of it all, they convinced me to buy the cellular version , so I will never, ever buy Apple again ).

Should work.

Yeah I measured, then I researched because i have really tiny wrists and everyone said the solo loop sizes are way too big and you need to size down. So I did and I shouldn't of But my fault not Apple's.

Then the charging thing really ruined it for me. Charged to 70% and refused to charge after that. Have packaged it back up and have to wait for courier to collect it now.

Not sure I even want to order a replacement now. Taken the shine off it.

Shame, am really happy with mine - also have small wrists. I find that this upgrade was really worth it - quite a big jump.

This is actually quite a widespread issue with the series 7. I was also having problems and a temp fix was to hard reset the watch. A few days ago they released a firmware update and its been behaving itself since then.

Re: The Apple Watch Thread

Tried hard reset. And complete wipe. Nothing. Didn’t update software, but really need to send back anyway as solo loop too small.

How does cellular version work. Do you have to have a sim from your phone network provider? I’m with Yallo.

Unfortunately Yallo doesn't seem to support it, but yes its an eSim which the watch app manages for you. I'm on a Sunrise business plan and a companion eSim for the watch is included for no extra charge.

Quote:
Log on to my yallo now

An electronic SIM card brings you many advantages:

Physical SIM cards are no longer needed
Extra SIM card: You can load a second SIM card onto your phone profile, e.g., together with your yallo subscription, this can be a yallo prepaid SIM with another number for business.
Flexible use: In some situations, such as during foreign travel, you can simply switch to a different SIM card and then back again.
Do you need help with something relating to eSIMs? You can find specific FAQs here.

Please note that eSIM cards cannot currently be used for Apple or the Apple Watch.
