I have recently arrived in Basel and am looking at options for internet. I scoped out http://www.green.ch/en-us/internet,t...etcomfort.aspx - does anyone have any experience with the service?

BAD BAD BAD ... stay away from them. I could start a list .... but this would never end!
We just moved AWAY from them. What a relief!

I spoke with another person who told me that many of his clients also had bad experience with them.
Of course, what is bad today can be good tomorrow.

I tried to sign up with them, and was relieved when I didn't succeed. Basically they wanted to be paid six months in advance, but gmail dumped all their mail into my spam folder...

I went with Fiber7 instead and have been most pleased with them.

not that it will help you, but if your in canton fribourg, i have found
that NETPLUS+ FR to be a decent enough value and company. Im paying
50f month 10/1 adsl internet only. Any issues have been resolved fast enough, and they do have english speaking techs and sales etc. A good local company Im happy to toss my money at..

I would agree with the person above who said they could tell you what was wrong with Green.ch but the list would be too long. They have given me a lot of grief. They destroyed my business website in early 2012 by switching their software and gave me zero help in making the switchover. I had to start all over again with a new registered website which cost me a lot of money. I am now with Sunrise and am very happy with them. I would not recommend anyone to deal with Green.ch.

my sincere advice to clients of green.ch must avoid fraudulent green.ch. the services which are given to clients are painful and incomplete. I prefer to have swisscom or sunrise instead of fraudulent.

Green is not to be trusted. Its owner is ‎Franz Grüter and he's a top person in SVP.

Hi, any improvement in green.ch services? I have never heard of them, I understand they are owned or managed by Swisscom, somehow?

I see only negative comments here about green.ch, is it really so bad? I noticed a nice offer from them, 38 CHF for up to 500 Mbit, way cheaper than Sunrise which offers up to 200 Mbit for 39, then 59 after 1 year.

Most important for me is a) reliability and b) customer service. I had SUPER good experience with UPC in my old location, so I guess Sunrise who acquired UPC will be similar? On the other hand, I have never heard about green.ch. I would rather pay more for good service/reliability than pay less and have poor service.

I am leaning towards Sunrise, not sure. Help!!

Wingo is Swisscom’s subsidiary. They too have good prices for mobile and internet.

if you're not in a hurry, then wait until black friday. for example sunrise generally has good offers in that period.
also be aware that 40 CHF for less than 1 Gbit is not cheap. Salt has 10 Gbit for 40 CHF.

Do you have personal experience with Wingo? How reliable are they? Any problems, internet being cut etc? Or client service in general?

Also, I see they have "activation fee" of 99 CHF After so many years I still dont understand Switzerland, everywhere I lived businesses beg you to be their customer, promos, offers, here - 99 CHF to sign in

Well I got them since I moved in Switzerland 3 months ago. so far so good no complain. I got the 1 gb Fiber deal they had at 35 chf. the connection is fast and reliable. playing online games, streaming 4k content, attending meetings everyday. The only issue I had was at the activation, the code they sent to me was outdated I guess but while calling them, they gave me a new them and 10 after it worked perfectly
I wonder If i'm the only satisfied client or it's just still early for problems to come

Interesting to read others' feedback because I've been with Green for a few years now & have never had a problem.

Me too, although I will move away from them just to get a cheaper tarif.
