Powerline (home LAN over electrical circuit) in a flat... any advice ?

I'm thinking of getting a pair of those 'powerline' LAN extenders.. I'm in a 6 flat block.. anybody got any advice / tips ?

Ensure that if encryption is not set as a default option, that you set it on. Here is a couple of links where a neighbour's network could be accessed through a Powerline device:
A ghost in the Machine - Wifi Interception and masquerading on Cablecom network.

ah... thanks.. i should have been more specific.. I think it would be a good way to go.. but living in block of flats is making me nervous.. (not that I think there are any Mr Robots amongst my mostly geriatric neighbours)..

I use Devolo, they work well and this apt has rubbish electrics.
The normal ones are quite large, so the minis may be better.

I use mine with extension leads, no problems.
