I'm currently spamming @Viseca_Cards on Twitter, replying to every Tweet that asked about ApplePay, with the Tages Anzeiger link. They only reply with "Viseca bietet ihren Kunden Apple Pay derzeit nicht an" when people ask when/if they're planning to support it. | Quote: | | | | | It's interesting that you mention this today: Swisscard and Graubündner Kantonalbank now support Apple Pay, which means that most people should be covered. VISECA won't support Apple I guess but that most people are with Swisscard anyway (they also issue Coop Supercard etc.) http://www.tagesanzeiger.ch/wirtscha...story/16363921

Go to twitter and post a question. They'll only do it when they hear a demand for it.

Last time I asked at CS, the official line was merging of TWINT and Paymit was the future, but they would monitor ongoing market developments.

Yupp, also works with the standard Amex cards - just added it to my iPhone and the Apple Watch.
One thing I noticed, though:
the TOS are kind of controversial - they contain a liability waiver, for example. So any transaction done through any of the attached devices can not be appealed. So one had better make sure the passcode on the Apple Watch isn't easy to guess, and that the iPhone is fingerprint locked at any time.
If you lose any of the attached devices, you are required to notify Swisscard ASAP.
I probably won't be using Apple Pay too much as I don't typically pay for everyday items with a credit card - but it'll be interesting to see how it works anyway.

I wonder if that's a universal Apple Pay TOS thing. It might be the main thing that makes it worth the transaction fees paid to Apple. | Quote: | | | | | Yupp, also works with the standard Amex cards - just added it to my iPhone and the Apple Watch.

I hadn't seen this before. Apparently there's an anti-trust investigation going on regarding Swiss banks' conspiring to block out ApplePay. https://www.finews.com/news/english-...ung-pay-boycot |

Does any large retailer in Switzerland actually accept ApplePay?
Despite Amex and MC issued by Credit Suisse allowing Applepay activation (which I have done) it is a useless exercise if no one accepts it.
I trust Apple more than UBS.

Swisscard who ran the coop credit card now run a free cashback card that is suitable for Apple pay. You can exchange the coop one through this link https://www.cashback-karte.ch/en/replace-card/ | This user would like to thank mgosia for this useful post: | |

I don’t think so. | | | | | Twint terminals are an add-on for contactless payment (which is a huge drawback for Twint implementation). ApplePay uses the normal credit card contactless readers built in to the chip/pin terminal. So they're all ApplePay ready.
