Re: Apple TV (4th Gen) in Switzerland

Hi,

I just saw that Roku now have Amazon Video and so now you can get Netflix, Amazon, Google Movies and all the uk or us catch up services. To be honest it makes a great first choice.

Have fun
Martin

So has anyone got any tricks to get Siri working here in Switzerland? Or know how long it might be before it gets released here for the TV?

Re: Apple TV (4th Gen) in Switzerland

Reviving this thread as my curiosity for Apple TV grew over the past days.

Background: I've been living off-line from TV in the past 6 years. Being young and rather metropolitan, my interest in sitting on a couch watching TV was never too big, and only having Swiss/German/Italian/French channels that all dub original films and series just pissed me off enough to not watch TV at all. I miss the irony of the original dialogues in many films and series.

I never had too much of an interest in Netflix or Zattoo or any other services either (never used!) but having kids and spending more time around the house makes me now trying to have some international TV around, and Apple TV seems to be able to provide me with what I'm looking for - easy installation, cheap to install/run (Swiss/Cabelcom seems too expensive a month).

Anyone here with Apple TV + any app to catch up with your channels at home? What are your recommendations?

Preferably, I'd like to have access to english/american/scandinavian/spanish channels in original languages.

Thankful for any advice, as usual.

Re: Apple TV (4th Gen) in Switzerland

Many years ago an issue and I believe it still is. Any experience with getting the English original movie via Apple TV? Forcexample, I try to get Darkest Hours and it seems that the English version is not available in Switzerland. I still think this cannot be true. Any experience? If true, this would make Apple TV very unattractive.
