I get that benefit too and don't have the roaming bundle..
The only thing i buy from Lyca is data bundles, usually 5gb per month.. When I cross the border I get an SMS to tell me that my "FEEL LIKE HOME" service is now active and I can make and receive calls just like I'm in Switzerland.
I get a local number and even though "data roaming" is disabled in my iPhone settings, I get 3g data for free on the local number.
It really is a total *bargain, a 100chf top up lasts me for best part of a year and it's effectively swisscom.
*As long you understand that you might need to work out a few things yourself and not have somebody hold your hand to set it up etc.

| I have 30 days' worth of the CHF19.- bundle that has 300 mins and 300 SMSs with no roaming charges and 500Mb data (only in Switzerland).
Not only did I get a confirmation message within minutes of crossing the French border and then arriving out of the Tunnel in Folkstone, but Lyca give me a free UK mobile number that works alongside my Swiss mobile number on the same SIM, so that friends in the UK can call me at UK national rates, rather than calling my Swiss number. Their partner in the UK is O2 too..l | |
