Does anyone have any experience of Salt's GoWorld?

I am travelling to Africa in May and want to have some internet while I am over there so that I can keep in contact with people back home.

I phoned customer service today and a very helpful young man told me that in order to do this I would just need to call up and ask them to change my subscription to GoWorld and then when I get back call them back to cancel the subscription and revert back to my normal subscription.

Has anyone done this before?

It seems *far* too easy, especially considering some of the threads that I have seen on here about how hard it is to cancel Orange/Salt subscription.

If anyone has any advice/experience it would be great to hear from you. I am keen not to be Switzerlanded... again

Re: Does anyone have any experience of Salt's GoWorld?

I've not done it for GoWorld but I've often done it for GoEurope.
I just go to my account on the website and activate it then deactivate it when I don't want it anymore. I always use it when we go away on holiday in Europe. You just have to pay for the months when it was activated.

It all seems very clear.

https://www.salt.ch/en/roaming/
"Activate and deactivate Go options whenever you like".
