DAZN - Sports Streaming

So since Swisscom stopped broadcasting the Primera Liga football I was on the lookout for alternative options on how to watch Spanish footy live en Suisse. Stumbled upon DAZN which apparently streams a variety of sporting events for those living in Germany, Austria & Switzerland

12.90 CHF per month, with first month free. Anyone tried this out yet?

Re: DAZN - Sports Streaming

Yes I've got it. Worked great for the first month, casting directly to my chromecast. Last few free weeks though it stopped casting. But note, all other Dazn sports cast perfectly except EPL, which is the only reason I subscribe to Dazn. So at the moment unless you like watching the EPL only on your phone, I'd give Dazn a miss.

I assume this then means the Primera Liga is available via DAZN?

Any update on your experience with the service? HD?

Re: DAZN - Sports Streaming

I've got it, use it to watch Barclays Premier League games...great quality and works every time on PC, TV, Mobile etc.

I can't believe the price, and I am amazed that it's possible to opt-out at any time...how tv subscriptions should be.

I used to pay 130/quarter for TeleSport in standard definition, it was terrible

Cheers for that and what about HD options for matches? Is this available and for all matches?

Re: DAZN - Sports Streaming

From what I know all the games broadcast are in High Definition quality, certainly the EPL games were. It's probably closer to 720p than 1080p as it's a live stream, so not AS good as say a normal HD broadcast via cable...but the difference is negligible.

My problem with DAZN was at the end of last season and only when trying to cast live events to Chromecast i.e. none of the live events would cast even though all non-live events cast perfectly.

Since the new season started it casts live events to the Chromecast perfectly.

I would definitely recommend you try DAZN for La Liga. The first month is free and if you don't like it in subsequent months you simply suspend or cancel your subscription.

Probably not all matches though.

I am using it since few months and it's working perfectly. The only thing I don't like is that they are not broadcasting French league so I cannot see Neymar playing

Re: DAZN - Sports Streaming

Worked perfectly again this weekend.
I watched Chelsea v Everton and Liverpool v Arsenal LIVE on my home television by casting from the DAZN app on my Android phone to the Chromecast.

I can't believe how good value this service is.
If only they had a English language option...

Tbh I enjoy their commentary, it's a break from some of the crap served up by sky/BT sports. And it helps with the German

Re: DAZN - Sports Streaming

Hi guys,

DAZN looks quite cool...but they don't have the Champions League for this season (2017-18) And today SRF isn't broadcasting the Real Madrid vs. Tottenham Is the only option left Teleclub then?

Thanks a lot!

Yeah it's unfortunate that DAZN doesn't have Champions League.

RTS2 (Swiss French) are showing it . Otherwise go to Reddit for English commentary

Started it today, watched El Clasico and City match in HD - very happy with the decision. No time like the present to pick up some German

Re: DAZN - Sports Streaming

Signed up yesterday to watch the Arsenal vs Liverpool match. It’s mildly more convenient to get it on the tv (LG webOS app), but compared to the streaming I already pay for, the picture quality was worse, it cut out more, the commentary is in German and it’s more expensive. I’ll give it another match, but I can’t seem them getting my money.

Re: DAZN - Sports Streaming

An old thread, but I've used DAZN for a while and they are pretty good. The quality is perfect (for my modest needs -- no mega home cinema screen) and dependable.

Downsides: no Italian football, no Champions League.

I didn't know this. It will be a deal-breaker for me. I will end my subscription at the end of this season and look for an alternative.

The streaming service I've used for several years at a cost of about 8 CHF a month is http://www.247hd.tv/. Is it legal? Questionable. Can be patchy now and then but still the most professional of the streaming services I've come across. Seems to show absolutely everything that's available on TV anywhere, including all Premier League games live, even the obscure ones.

That's a massive shame - god knows what I'll do next season.

I personally love Dazn...the TV app is sometimes terrible, but using the phone and Airplaying onto the projector etc. is perfect. Quality is close to HD.

Hope something comes out next season...I hate Teleclub!

Ahh crap. Looks like I'll be cancelling my DAZN subscription end of this season then. Shame really, as I've grwon quite accustomed to using it. I will not subscribe to Sky.
