That means what? You still need a Netflix subscription and Horizon will do what a 'smart TV' will do??

Yes correct, Netflix suscription still needed and if you do not own a smart tv it's good.

It means you can watch Netflix on the horizon box if you don't have it on your smart TV or other attached devices. What else do you think it would mean?

That, like MyPrime, it was included in the subscription. I don't have a horizon box so have no idea (but do have a smart TV)...

Netflix is, and only ever has been, separate subscription only. It's just an app that you sign in to.

Common knowledge.

How's the performance of the app? On one side this sounds like it would save me switching the PS4 on just to watch Netflix, but given the lag in Horizon onscreen menus and even freezes recently when I try to use replay I am not hopeful.

I played with it a bit.
I think it works quite good.
Stuff loads fast and also looks "HD"

It works great but I do not think the interface is as good as the IOS version. I have problems with horizon menus frezzing or being slow i think its a common problem.

I don't and have never used Netflix but can tell you the UPC Horizon box can't transmit 4K.

Re: Netflix Has Arrived On UPC

Do you need a new horizon box for this or will it work on one that is 12-18mths old? I don't remember ever seeing where I would look on UPC for apps that would include Netflix. That's why I use an Apple TV attachment.

Re: Netflix Has Arrived On UPC

Haven't been home to try it yet, but the announcement says go to channel 119 and sign in. I imagine it works on all horizon boxes.
