Re: Internet via SIM router
I have that setup and I'm quite happy.
I have the salt unlimited for 39.99 (unlimited internet 4g and calls to not sure if all operators or only salt numbers)
Additionally, i have a sim card only for internet linked to the same contract of salt. This cost additional 10CHF/month (and I think a one time payment of 20CHF) and is the sim I use in the 4G router (Huawei B315). Salt will provide you with that SIM card and you can ask several if you want (each for 10CHF I guess).
I've been using this for the last 12 months. At home, all my family uses internet through this wifi router.
In my bill, it states around 200Gb of data consumed per month (i guess combining my phone and the sim at home.) I have never been limited in the speed or in the data. As far as I'm aware, youtube goes equally fast in the beginning and by the end of the month.
I use it daily and for quite a few hours a day with youtube, skype, etc ... I seldom use it with public swiss and international TV, but once in a while I do. In general,
If you don't want to buy the 4G Router and neither paying the extra 10CHF, you can make your phone as the hotspot. I'm not sure but you may want to read of the consequences of using your phone as a hotspot in a regular basis.
I am quite happy with the results and with the price, I havent found a difference with my previous connection.
