Cheapest internet connection with sunrise

Hi people,

i look for the cheapest stuff with at least 10Mb/s to see HD videos from youtube and netflix.

I found this for 45CHF/Month:

https://www.sunrise.ch/de/kleinunter.../internet.html

Do you know if there're some hidden prices? There's no details about the router and activation. Are they for free?

Thanks

No hidden prices. Read the fact sheet. Modem is supplied and 59CHF for activation. FRITZ!Box or Sunrise Internet Box free. Set it up yourself
12 Month contract

Re: Cheapest internet connection with sunrise

So do you use the 3 in 1 connector from UPC. If not and if you take Sunrise then you can cancell with UPC and save 40 CHF a month.( assuming you pay that in your rental at the moment )

But you might find a better offer with UPC. For 59 CHF a month. All included. ( includes your monthly fee of 40 CHF for UPC connection )

Re: Cheapest internet connection with sunrise

thank you for the infos!!!

One last question about sunrise.

I checked in the website and at my flat I have available 40MB/20MB. Is it DSL or fibre? That router I think it's just DSL, Isn't it?

Re: Cheapest internet connection with sunrise

For 35 Fr. per month (Salt offers this) you could also opt for the 4G Internet if your location provides good connection.

+ is that you can bring your "connection" anywhere with you.

I haven't experienced it myself, so I don't know about the quality/bandwidth/stability which you get in the end.

Re: Cheapest internet connection with sunrise

Download/Upload: up to 40/40 Mbit/s. Details apply for customers with a fibre-optic connection. Max. 40 Mbit/s download and 8 Mbit/s upload speeds possible for copper-line customers.

And thats MAXIMUM 40/8. And that speed depends on how far you live from the " distribution point "point. So no garantee. But sure enough to watch HD video etc

this might interest

Re: Cheapest internet connection with sunrise

That site you linked in post 1 is for business customers (though as a private customer you can also get internet plus phone for CHF45).

Sunrise has an excellent English language website; https://www.sunrise.ch/en/residential/welcome-page.html

Internet only (and phone, which is free) is here: https://www.sunrise.ch/en/residentia.../internet.html

Activation is free if you order online. Router rental is included. Minimum contract is 12 months. You don't have to pay any line rental or cable connection fees. You might need to get an electrician in to set up your phone line correctly.

Re: Cheapest internet connection with sunrise

And this site (in German) will compare internet providers:

https://www.dschungelkompass.ch/fest...kProfile.xhtml

It shows Green Phone Basic with the Turbo option as being the current cheapest option over 10Mps
