Re: Netflix?

Content started to suck, lots of garbage and very expensive for such low quality. Half of the series do not have English subs or are completely in German and it there are hundreds of series the US version has that the CH one doesn't.

Wait for the Disney alternative to come out and buy, I'll close my Netflix then.

Re: Netflix?

I have had Netflix since the days they used to send DVDs in the mail. I enjoyed it quite a bit in the US when I lived there. My US subscription is still valid but plays the Swiss content here in Switzerland. Most of the Swiss content is good and not too much different than the US content.

There is really no fool proof way to trick Netflix to get the US content. I have tried several VPNs a Dedicated IP and some might work for a few weeks and then always get blocked. Netflix has really cracked down on using a VPN with them in the last 1-2 years.

I have since moved on to Philo a US 40 channel cable subscription for several months now. Works fine over VPN and Nvidia Shield Android TV box. It has a search function for movies and shows and can watch them on demand just like Netflix. Most do have commercials though. I don't mind the British channels we normally get from SwissCom on the television but sometimes miss the American programming, like Discovery, Science and History channels. Philo works good for those, one would likely need a US mailing address and credit card though to successfully signup.

Re: Netflix?

Its ok, the kids use it more than I do. New movies worth watching are hard to come by but they do pop up now and then. Some of their in house productions are really good like Better Call Saul, the new David Attenborough series and the new Black Mirror episodes. They still struggle to make a decent movie but once again, some of them are ok. When the Disney Channel comes along they will lose all the Disney and Fox catalogue so we will have to see how that pans out. As far as value goes I think that 35 years ago we were paying 6 bucks to hire one movie for a day I think it is fair value. Hope that helps.
