A "3G Sim" only existed in the heads of your phone companies marketing department. They are the exact same since the 90s, but the chip got smaller, so you were able to cut off more and more plastic around the connectors every few years.

Re: Where to buy a 2G GSM Micro Sim Card

So you simply mean a good deal for a telephone plan?

As you do not say anything at all about your usage (amount of data, calls to aboard, call while aboard, only incoming calls etc) I simply suggest m-budget prepaid.

Good point. Usage should be low and is inteded for a kids smart watch. My youngest has a tendancy to wonder off and get lost quite often.

Are you talking about those smart watches that track your child’s location? I thought they were banned since last year. They certainly are illegal in Germany.

M-Budget do a PrePay SIM card that sits on the Swisscom network
The cheapest out there, and calls are only 3c/min to Swiss fixed network.

I have one in my car phone, which is 1G and 2G (900/1800 GSM) and it works fine
