UPC Cablecom - Avoid at ALL COST / Always incorrect billing and invoices

ABSOUTELY avoid UPC CABlcom cable at all cost!!! I have had many problems with UPC with incorrect and dubious billing - one instant it took me 5months to resolve and now once again it has taken since April with documents provided them that they have clearly overcharged - but they refuse so will have to take legal action. Their Customer service is third world, they don't give a damn about resolving problems nor customer satisfaction - they are rude as thugs and aggressive and even had a representative shout at me over the telephone - I was shocked. they may advertise a Lower monthly plasn than others for UPC mobile but they will swindle and rip you off, guaranteed on incorrect and unclear invoices. Getting legal involved.

I have already cancelled my internet as well as I had loads of issues with service disruptions for entire days and. half days. their response was that they did not give a dam.

So two years ago you said pretty much the same thing.


So are we to believe you used them again two years later?


I have been with them for 10 years and have found their customer service much improved in that time.
have not tried their mobile service though, only tv, internet.

have cancelled my contracts. believe whatever you want.

your more unlikely to get variation and incorrect billing for tv/internet - except for service inconsistency and outage.

I recently tried to create a UPC online account to manage my billing online. Instead of allowing me to create the account, they seemed to have their systems connected up with a spam machine. It asked me to select, from a grid of pictures, all pictures containing boats. I'm currently studying for my Bootsführerausweis, so although this was a bit less technical than some questions on the theory test, I was still delighted. There was a trick, as sometimes a picture I'd selected changed to something else! Sometimes with a boat, sometimes without. Once I'd completed their puzzle, guess what, they had a new one. This time, I had to select trucks. I love trucks! The next one was road signs. Well, things proceeded in this way for some time. Shadows cast by cantilever bridges on canals, that was tricky. Now, my time is basically worthless, so UPC were correct to treat it as such; eventually, however, I had to conclude we were never going to get past classifying grids of pictures.

I visited one of their shops instead. Their rep explained how necessary and right their captcha regime was. They set me up with the account I wanted: all I had to do was check my email at home, follow the link therein, and I'd be there!

I did this and... 500 Server Error "OOPS! Our server is having some problems processing your request." One week later, and still it's a 500 server error, so not a transient issue.

You thought that as the web matured, people would get better at it? Wrong. None of the "web sites" actually work. When one does something right, it is the exception.
