If you get your TV via a traditional aerial...

...then the signal is going to be stopped on 3 June 2019:

https://www.broadcast.ch/fr/television/antenne-tnt/
https://www.broadcast.ch/de/fernsehen/antenne-dvb-t/

It's not not just a couple of channels, or one antenna but all SSR, nationwide.

Thought I'd share this as I spoke to a couple of satellite installation people this week and they were surprised.

As the advice says if you want to watch TV you'll need to switch to:
- cable TV, often via your internet provider
- internet TV, eg streaming on your computer, maybe cast to your TV screen
- a satellite dish, receiver and SSR card

Goodness, excuse my complete ignorance in that case, but how do you use the internet if not via cable, fiber-glass etc. . I mean, I remember the old analogue modems...

4G, which works sometimes but not well enough for live streaming.

In 2019 every Gemeinde should provide free decent wifi and put all the Swiss channels on zattoo or something similar.
Maybe would be worthwhile paying the new Serafe/ex Billag bill then.

Nearest neighbor is 900m, don't think that there are any nearby WiFi spots!

Gemeinde problem with my solution.
They could use the electricity cables.

We don't have mains electricity, rather generator, battery, inverter.

Now that I can answer, as my Dad's place of work (in my childhood) was very high-tech, and used to produce cathode-ray tubes...
