| | Mobile prepaid eSIM - Which one?
Hello everyone!
We're moving to Switzerland!
Next week we're going to fly in to see some apartments and I'm also planning to buy some SIM cards (with esims) and to open a bank account.
I'm planning to use the new eSim in an iPhone together with my regular SIM card (I have a prepaid one that it gives me 5.7Gb of data and unlimited calls in EEA for 15 euros).
For the moment I'm planning to buy something for my wife and I so that we can have a valid Swiss number and receive calls. In the future we're going to probably need some numbers for the kids too.
We are expecting to receive some calls when we are going to travel back home (EU country) so the roaming should be available. In the next couple of months we're probably going to do a lot of back and forth traveling.
I've done some research and only Swisscom and Sunrise have eSims. Swisscom looks like it's the best option for a prepaid plan. Am I right?
Also, can you keep the number when you switch from a network contract to another, like you do in EU?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Yes you can keep your number between providers..
Swisscom is the best, it just is.. Probably costs a little more but for the coverage and service, you can't beat it. The time and energy you spend being annoyed elsewhere justifies any price difference.

Thank you for your answer.
From the Wingo website I couldn't find any info about eSIMs. It looks like hey have only abo contracts, no prepay.
Am I missing something?
Tnx!

Sunrise is the more sensible option overall from a price/performance perspective if you don't travel a lot and don't need lot of EU data.
Swisscom are at least (slowly) getting better at least now that the competition is pressuring them.

eSIM plus Prepaid.
The only which I have seen is Swisscom Prepaid.
M-Budget Prepiad would be good, but as of October 2018 it did not support eSIM even thought it is on the Swisscom network https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/Questio...anbieter-85280
Sunrise does not yet support eSIM for prepaid, only for abo contract https://www.sunrise.ch/en/residentia...rise-esim.html
Salt will offer eSIM support starting February. Not sure if also for prepiad or only for abo contracts. https://www.blick.ch/digital/smartph...d15065976.html

I bought one.
I understand what you are saying about better deals, and it is corect, but given to my situation (the other plan that I'm using), Swisscom is fine for now.
Thank you for your help!
